Chenai, an environmental science graduate, was passionate about renewable energy but lacked the technical skills to bring her ideas to life. Through our Green Economy Skills Track, she learned how to use digital design software and data modeling to plan and optimize solar panel installations for rural communities. “I combined my passion for the environment with digital tools to create tangible impact,” Chenai explains. Using her new skills, she developed a business proposal for a solar-powered irrigation system and won a grant at a PIONEERS hackathon. Her story demonstrates that digital literacy is the critical link between a great idea for a sustainable future and its real-world implementation.
